The importance of water removal is to prevent the harmful affects of a mold infestation. If mold is allowed to develop in your home or business, it can create structural damage and adversely affect the health of your family and employees.
At First Coast Restoration, we are very methodical about our approach to Water Damage.
Water Extraction
The most important step in Water Damage is the complete removal of any water. It is critical to have standing water cleaned up within 12 to 24 hours of the problem. At First Coast Restoration, we use the latest water extraction technology with the Hydro-Extractor. The Hydro-Extractor completely removes all standing water. This water extraction system is so powerful that it can clean carpets and padding while they are still on the floor.
High Power Blow Dryers
Once the standing water has been removed from your home or business, we will use very high-power blow dryers to take care of any moisture that has been absorbed into the structure. This is another step to reduce the possibility of a mold infestation.
Dehumidifiers
The last step in the drying process that we do is to use dehumidifiers. We want to get all of the moisture out of the air so that it does not have the opportunity to condensate in any hidden areas allowing mold to form. Daily monitoring of the drying process is done using Psychrometric charting. This takes the guesswork out of drying every structure.
Decontamination
The Environmental Decontamination Solution system (EDS). EDS is an incredible contaminant and odor removal system that we use. EDS can be applied as a foam, fog, or spray. In most cases, we recommend that the fogging application be used. This application allows the non-toxic treatment to get deep into the cracks and crevices where contaminants from Water Damage may be hidden. We are so proud of the EDS system that we fully guarantee that you will have no contaminants or associated odors from Water Damage!
